The Art of Change: Effective Advertising in a Digital World

AAF of the Midlands September Luncheon

For its first luncheon of the season, American Advertising Federation of the Midlands is pleased to present The Art of Change: Effective Advertising in a Digital World with Robert Tarren from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17 at 701 Whaley.

As VMFA’s director of marketing and communications, Tarren developed a repositioning strategy that targeted new audiences and leveraged creative to present an entirely new message. VMFA also deployed digital tactics typically not used by museums and non-profits. VMFA is now the most visited attraction in Richmond with more than 600,000 annual visitors. Tarren will share how he and a dedicated team pivoted public perception using digital innovation, a strategic change in the creative, robust social media, and aggressive partnerships.

AAF of the Midlands, winner of the 2011 and 2013 American Advertising Federation National Club of the Year Award, holds monthly professional development luncheons from September to May each year. Allluncheons are held at 701 Whaley in the Granby Room from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
