April 1, 2013
The American Advertising Federation (AAF) of The Midlands has announced they are accepting applications from nonprofit organizations to become the club’s public service client for 2013. The Midlands chapter selects one nonprofit organization in our community and assists them with their marketing and advertising needs.
AAF of the Midlands selected Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter to serve as public service candidate for 2012 – 2013 to benefit from public relations strategies and an integrated pro-bono advertising campaign to increase their awareness and revise branding. The mission of Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter is to provide a safe and caring home for children in the Midlands who are victims of abuse and neglect. Initiating the campaign with a brand audit and an awareness assessment, AAF of the Midlands went on to provide a new website, a television and outdoor branding campaign, and increased their presence on local media outlets.
To qualify to become our next public service client, applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Richland or Lexington County. The deadline for proposals is April 19, 2013. Finalists will be notified and asked to make a 5-10 minute presentation to the AAF of the Midlands Board later in April. The selected nonprofit will be notified shortly thereafter and announcement of the winner will be made at the May 2013 AAF of the Midlands monthly luncheon.
The application deadline is April 19, 2013. Please email your applications to our Public Service chair, Lisa Hockenberry at email@example.com.
