AAF of the Midlands Honors Midlands Advertising Talent at 2015 American Advertising Awards

AAF of the Midlands hosted its annual American Advertising Awards gala on Saturday, February 28 at Stone River in Columbia. More than 50 awards recognizing exceptional work in advertising were presented to advertising professionals and students in the Midlands.

AAF of the Midlands, winner of the 2011, 2013 and 2014 AAF National Club of the Year Awards, holds the yearly competition as part of the American Advertising Federation’s American Advertising Awards, the largest advertising competition in the world. The awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world. As a chapter of the national organization, AAF of the Midlands’ American Advertising Award winners will move on to compete at the district level and then in the national competition.

AAF of the Midlands President, Megan Telencio, said that the caliber of work that was entered into the biggest advertising competition in the world was extremely impressive this year.

“I want to congratulate all of our winners of this prestigious competition and wish them luck in the district and national rounds. Columbia may not have a famous “Madison Avenue” but we certainly can compete with large creative centers head-to-head.”

Advertising professionals from across the Midlands submitted more than 230 entries into the local competition. AAF of the Midlands recognized winners in a myriad of categories and honored overall winners for print, interactive and broadcast media:
