COLUMBIA, S.C.—American Advertising Federation of the Midlands (AAF of the Midlands) President David Campbell and President-Elect Danielle Salley traveled to Phoenix, AZ to accept awards at the national ADMERICA! conference. AAF of the Midlands won the 2013 National Club of the Year for Division III of the American Advertising Federation, and President David Campbell won 2013 President of the Year for Division III.
Each year, the AAF honors top clubs in eight categories: advertising education, communications, diversity, government relations, club operations, membership, programs and public service. Additionally, a “club of the year” is chosen in each division, as well as a “president of the year.” The clubs of the year are determined by the total score of their entries in the eight categories.
AAF of the Midlands placed in five categories as well as winning the National Club of the Year award for Division III:
- Government relations – 3rd place
- Public service – 2nd place
- Diversity – 1st place
- Advertising education – 1st place
- Membership – 1st place
AAF of the Midlands President David Campbell was a featured panelist for the “How’d they do that?” session at the conference, which included the 2013 President of the Year winners.
“This year our board worked hard to ensure our members had quality programs and that our club had a positive impact on our community, and I am proud to see them recognized for it,” said Campbell.
