Midlands Advertising Club Accepts National Club of the Year and President of the Year Awards

IMG_0464 copyColumbia, SC – American Advertising Federation of the Midlands (AAF of the Midlands) President Joey Wallace accepted two awards at the American Advertising Federation’s national ADMERICA Adjusted. AAF of the Midlands received the 2020 National Club of the Year for Division III of the American Advertising Federation and President Joey Wallace was awarded the 2020 President of the Year for Division III.

AAF honors top clubs in five categories: club operations, programs, public service, cornerstone initiatives & events, and membership & communications. Additionally, a “club of the year” is chosen in each division, as well as a “president of the year.” The clubs of the year are determined by the total score of their entries in the five categories.

AAF of the Midlands placed in four categories, as well as winning the National Club of the Year award for Division III:

  • Club Operations, First Place
  • Public Service, First Place
  • Cornerstone Initiatives and Events, First Place
  • Membership and Communications, First Place

“I couldn’t be more proud of this year’s board of directors and our members for everything we accomplished together. From a spectacular year of programs, professional development, and community engagement, this group exceeded expectations,” said Wallace. “I’m grateful their hard work and tireless dedication was recognized on a national level.”

Wallace will move into the South Carolina Governor role with AAF District 3, which represents South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. Lenza Jolley, a past president and South Carolina Governor, will become Lieutenant Governor. Jeff Lawler will serve as president of AAF of the Midlands for 2020-2021.

AAF of the Midlands previously won the National Club of the Year Award in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2018.
